WBSSC Announces 8,477 Vacancies for Group C & D Posts in 2025 Recruitment Drive

The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially released its Group C and D Recruitment Notification for 2025, unveiling a total of 8,477 non-teaching vacancies across government-aided schools. These include 2,989 Group C (Clerk) positions and 5,488 Group D (such as peons, laboratory attendants, night guards, etc.) roles.
According to the short notification released today, aspiring candidates can apply online from September 16 to October 31, 2025, via the official portal at westbengalssc.com. The detailed notification, scheduled for publication, will outline post-wise eligibility, selection criteria, application fees, and exam pattern.
Qualifications & Age Limits:
Group C (Clerk): 10th pass; age range: 18–40 years
Group D (Support staff): 8th pass; age range: 18–40 years
Age relaxations will apply as per prevailing government norms.
Selection Process will involve a state-level written examination followed by document verification and possibly an interview or skill test, depending on the post.
